Whitening Instructions 1- Brush and floss your teeth thoroughly. 2- Apply a dot of gel, about the size of a match head, on the front wall of each tooth compartment of the tray. 3- Place the loaded tray over your teeth. Be careful not to push the gel out of the tray, but be sure the tray is completely seated. Remove excess gel with your finger. Do not remove the tray. 4- A night time regime is preferred for maximum results. While sleeping we have less salivary flow than in the day time so the gel is active longer (8 to 10 hours compared to 4 to 6 hours). 5- After whitening, remove the tray and rinse it with cold water. Use a Q-tip to remove any residual gel. Place the tray in the storage case. Rinse and brush excess gel from your teeth. For Optimum Results 1- One syringe should be enough for four whitening sessions. If it is not then you are using too much gel. Too much gel also causes irritation of your gums. It has also been proven that for optimum results less is better than more. 2- Try to minimize consumption of tobacco, coffee, cola and red wine. 3- The main reason for failure is dirty teeth. The solution can only work when the teeth are at their cleanest. 4- Avoid citrus foods and juices if they cause tooth sensitivity. 5- Once the whitening procedure is complete. Store any remaining gel in the refrigerator for later touch-ups. The solution should last at least 2 years this way. 6- It is advised not to use the treatment while pregnant or lactating. 7- Don’t eat, drink, or smoke while wearing your custom trays. 8- The treatment should be uninterrupted. If you must skip a day or two, it should not affect the whitening regime. 9- Best tooth whitening results are dependent upon your cooperation and following these instructions. Individual results vary with each patient. This whitening process is the best one available. Should you experience any problems or have any questions please call our office. |
