After graduating from Mackenzie Collegiate in Downsview, I went to the University of Toronto and after 1 year of General science I entered the Dentistry programme and graduated four years later with my Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). While I was there I was also the head of the Social Committee at the University of Toronto.
In 1982, I moved to Ajax where I started my dental practice in 1984. I have been at my practice in Ajax for 34 years and counting and I still love every minute of it!
I was on Staff at York Central Hospital in Richmond Hill for 8 years as well as the Ajax/Pickering Hospital for an additional 10 years. The hospital setting gives me an opportunity to work with medically compromised patients.
I have always tried my best to take part in different aspects of dentistry outside of my practice and help out wherever I can. For example, I volunteered at the Toronto Free Dental Clinic for 5 years helping those in need and giving back to the community. I was also a volunteer in the last Special Olympics providing free dental care and custom mouth guards for the athletes.
Since first year Dental School I have been an active member of The Canadian Dental Association, The Ontario Dental Association, The Academy of General Dentistry and Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity. These groups hold continuing education seminars that I regularly attend. I am dedicated to life-long learning and strive to be the best dentist that I can be.
